finally!

10 Apr

This is really it!

For nurturing and enjoying the 4 years of engagement (out of 8 years of dating), JJ and I are finally tying the knot on June! We could not wait to show the entire set of photos of our engagement photo shoot.

For months, I have planned not only our wedding but also for our prenupt shoot. Being a photographer, all ideas and inspiration will just come from anywhere, so i had to filter all of those in order to come up with the following concepts. Noel Salazar of Imagine nation photogaphy and Rae Venturanza came to see us and what a perfect team we were ;p

I cant help but say that Noel was pretty much inspired to shoot since rae was beside him all the time ^ ^.

I quite fancy the 3rd location of the shoot- the airport. For the past 8 years of being together, the airport is the happiest and saddest place for us. We have maintained a long distance relationship, and I know all couples out there in a LDR could attest and empathize with us on how the airport is considered SADDEST. Each goodbyes, before we part each other to go home on our separate ways, is always be bitter and tearjerker.

This is our way of saying “BYE” to our sad moments in the airport, and “HELLO” to staying home forever. together.I couldnt have done this without JJ, who have always made me sane, happy and very secured. He believed in me, in us and in faith & fate.

God bless all couples out there  in a LDR. Always take care of each other, thank God for having found each other and never give up. Its not as easy as it looks like but love can move mountains. So just believe.

Hope you enjoy our engagement pictures.

More of those at……. the wedding ^ ^

Adorable Kobi

27 Mar

This litttle kid is sooo adorable! I couldnt stop pinching him (as soft as i possibly could) haha

You can just imagine the look on his parents face when they saw the photo montage of dear old Kobi.
Couldnt help but feel proud like he was my own little boy 😀

God bless you little Kobi!

The very beautiful, Miss Ingrid.

24 Mar

Confidence is what this shoot is all about.
Ingrid scheduled for her photo shoot to celebrate the recovery from her hip injury and as a special gift for her special someone- Dani who took care of her throughout the time.  Its also a thrill since she is showing it on their anniversary this week! Love inspired this shoot. Love for Dance, love for ones self and love for Dani.
Ingrid is a ballet dancer, she has been dancing all her life, so one could just imagine how hard it is for her to recuperate and undergo through the ordeals. They say once a dancer, always a dancer.
So here is a sneak peek of her beautiful photos, see the art, beauty and love oozing in every pixel.
To Ingrid, fly and dance again like no one is watching! I am so much grateful to you,and yes, you made me dance! ;p

Snow in Boracay and its not even cold! ;p

The Brave, Bold and Beautiful

24 Mar

I do not need to tell what my mom have gone through, for us to show how happy and blessed we are to have her.

It has been 15 years already since my mom have been fighting the big c. For me, she is the true epitome of a warrior and beauty rolled in one.  Last March 18, 2011, we went back to St. Luke’s Hospital to receive a wonderful news from the Good Lord above that my mom has been C-free.

So here are her pictures, in the midst of anxiety of waiting for the result,  see how brave, bold and beautiful she is.

All the glory to God!

I love you mama!

Mom was just injected with a serum containing radiation, an s.o.p.  before a patient will undergo bone scan.

Hotel-esque St. Luke’s hospital in Taguig. You dont feel like you are a patient when you are admitted here 😀

Since she said she cannot pose for boudoir, this is her “boodor boodor” (her term for boudoir) haha

God is Good. All the Time!

The Do’s and Dont’s in a Wedding

23 Mar

So you have been invited to a wedding….

We’ve all been there and it is an exciting day to be a part of.

If you have been invited as a guest, that means that you are important to the couple and they are important to you.

In this crazy age of digital, we all want, and are able to, capture every life changing moment with ease and so i can understand the desire to capture every moment of a wedding of a friend or loved one. It is exciting right?

It is almost like a challenge to see if you can get “the shot”. You have to get the shot of all those family members together..i mean how often does that happen? What if the photographer doesn’t catch the shot? I hear you….I get it…but………the couple has hired a photographer to do exactly all those things and more…in most cases, the couple has worked very hard to select the perfect photographer for them and paid a pretty penny to have them there.

For many people the job of the wedding photographer seems easy…I mean how hard can it be? Show up, snap some photos of a pretty girl in a pretty dress and then go home right?

Let’s get real…you can even see the pictures on the back of the camera can’t you? With digital cameras being so accessible and wonderous celebrities advertising how easy it all is (thanks Avril & Ashton!), respect for the work of the photographer seems to have almost disappeared all together.

There is so much more to it than just showing up and clicking a button. So much more.

There is the timeline, the coordination of dozens of people, the rules of the church, the lighting, the locations, the checklists, the creative styling, the consideration of families, the lugging around of tons of gear, long hours, no breaks, and hours of editing, just to name a few of the responsibilites of a wedding photographer.

In fact, wedding photography is arguably the most stressful type of photography there is. There is no “redo” .
We cannot ask the bride to walk down the aisle again because we missed the shot.
It is our job to “get the shot” and not just that one “money shot” that guests are seeking…we have to get the “money shot” hundereds of time over in a day.
It is no easy task.

It used to be that the official photographer was usually one of the only people at the wedding with a camera but now the photographer’s camera is one in a sea of LCD’s and flashes snapping wildly throughout the day.

After countless encounters with guest paparazzi’s that have ranged from mildly annoying to outwardly disrespectful, I have comprised this list of guest do’s and don’ts to hopefully educate guests on what we do and help make the wedding day and the job of the wedding photographer in the digital age just a little easier….

DO’S

1. come and enjoy the wedding.
2. spend your time figuring out what to wear…not what camera gear to pack
3. the ceremony is a very special, special, special time…sit back and experience God’s work.
4. mix and mingle with guests…meet new people and reconnect with old friends
5. smile…you never know when you will be caught on film
6. take photos while the photographer ISN’T there…the couple will love you for it!
7. share the photos you take with the couple…after all it is their day
8. ask the photographer if you have questions about taking photos on the day

DONT’S

1. Please don’t tell the photographer that their camera must take really great pictures…it’s the photographer that captures the image…the camera is just a tool to record it
2. don’t ask the photographer photography questions…we love to share knowledge but we are extremely busy during a wedding and have to focus on the task at hand
3. don’t stand up or move around during the ceremony to take pictures…it is distracting for everyone and ruins the official photographs the couple wants
4. Please don’t stand in the aisle during the procession or recession…once again…it ruins the official photographs
5. Please don’t try to get the bride and groom to pose for “a quick picture” after the ceremony…they are on a tight timeline and it’s not fair to everyone else
6. don’t stand behind the photographer to take photos while they are shooting…
7. don’t take photos during family photos…it makes it very hard for people to know which camera to look at and the result is terrible family photos
8. don’t stand in front of the photographer during the cake cutting or first dance…i know you WANT that photo but the photographer NEEDS that photo for the couple. =)
9. I know that most people that engage in some of the above mentioned dont’s, do so with no ill intent…they are simply caught up in what is an exciting and amazing time. It can be easy to get lost in the moment and forget that there is someone there trying to do a very important job for the couple. Just try to consider them and respect the job that they are trying to do and all should go smoothly…the result will be better photos for the couple and a more enjoyable day for you the guest…and trust me…the photographer will be so greatful.. I know I am!

What Is Boudoir?

23 Mar

What is boudoir?

Boudoir is a French word whose original meaning was “pouting room.”

In earlier times, if a young lady was sulky, she was sent to her boudoir where she could pout in private.

The Red Stilettos Photography  is about rediscovering those looks … those powerful moments … through the fine art photography.  I like elegant, sassy, and intimate.

Intimate photography is truly the kind that lasts longer, as it says so much.

I specialize in capturing those beautiful moments which last a lifetime,  in showing the human body in its most revealing and honest moments. After all, we should love our bodies as much as our minds; it’s who we are.

Between lovers, such unique boudoir photographer and artistic nude photographer can be exciting, rekindling a relationship and remind the two of you how love is a physical form.

The idea of boudoir is more personal and engaging, interesting and seductive.

This site contains information and images of black and white and colored boudoir photography.

The images are tasteful and a perfect way to express a side of oneself often hidden from the world.

Your inhibitions disappear for those moments when you show yourself in a photography, and from the images posted here, you can see how tasteful, unique, and romantic they are.

I want to show you for who you are.

Boudoir photography makes a perfect gift for spouses, partners, lovers, or just reminders to yourself of the beauty your body has. Whoever sees it will notice your attitude somewhat different in the photograph.

No matter your age, Boudoir shows the truth about who you are. It doesn’t matter what high-priced clothing you wear or your figure. These moments should be special to you and a reminder of your unique beauty.

Art nude photography isn’t about being racy, but being open to the world.

With a session in your home, or a private and important location of your choice, your wishes of showing the beauty of the body will be revealed.

These sessions can last up to two hours until we get the perfect image or set of images for you.

Ready to let loose and have fun? Choose intimate boudoir photography from The Red Stilettos Photography.

Leshelle’s bundle of joy

16 Mar

I can’t say enough about Leshelle and Rob.  Simply put, they are outstanding individuals who make an even more outstanding couple.   I absolutely can’t wait to meet the baby that Leshelle is carrying.

The couple chose to keep the sex a surprise (which I love, by they way).  Based on the genetics of Leshelle and Rob, this little person is going to have one big, fabulous personality.  He or she will be adorable, smart, gregarious and beautiful! It’ just so fun to watch them start a family and to get to be a part of documenting these landmark moments of their life.  I’m really so grateful for what I get to do for them.

Thank you both again, May the Good Lord continue to bless you everyday and your little joy.

Ms. P

16 Mar

Miss P and I go WAY back to the 90′s!  We met during high school and while playing taekwondo. Yes, she is a blackbelter.

Both of our jobs take us to different places but it is in the island of Boracay where we get to see each other, relax and talk endlessly.

Miss P  has it goin’ on and totally ROCKED it during her session.  A self confessed foodie and knmown as the sassy cook at home, she prepared her God given porcelain skin and showed it to the camera.  She is the perfect meaning of real beauty.

Like i have always said that through boudoir, i hope i can inspire more women and make them realize that they are beautiful, they are sexy they are fabulous. We should really show it. We deserve something as beautiful as we are.

and …… Oh yeah, she’s a total babe!
